about Bárbara

Suhrida Videos (6).png

Bárbara's holistic journey began in her mid-twenties while living abroad, where she discovered solace through yoga and Reiki.

After relocating to Switzerland in 2014, these practices became transformative tools for her self-discovery and holistic healing. Immersed in a new environment, she embraced yoga and Reiki as essential aspects of her daily life, deepening her connection to both practices. This journey led her to complete Yin Yoga Teacher training, followed by Hatha Yoga Teacher training, expanding her knowledge and skills.

In 2022, her move to Belgium marked another significant chapter, where she felt an even stronger calling to guide others through the transformative essence of Yoga and Reiki.

Currently, she is committed to her personal growth and independent journey as a yoga teacher, offering classes in Watou (Poperinge).

In 2024, Bárbara founded Suhrida, a company dedicated to cultivating positive change and making holistic wellness accessible to all. Through Suhrida, she supports individuals on their journey to well-being by offering a holistic approach to yoga, Reiki, and mindfulness.

Continuously dedicated to expanding her knowledge, Bárbara is currently apprenticing with her Yoga Philosophy and Meditation teacher, Alexey Vyazovov from Higher Yoga Academy.

“suhrida” is a Sanskrit term for "friend" that embodies the qualities of loyalty, empathy, and genuine care towards others.

what is yoga to me

To me, yoga is a gentle journey of rediscovering the traits that naturally reside within, both on and off the mat, and aligning with ancient traditions.

On the mat, it reconnects me with my inner peace, strength, and resilience through each pose and breath. Off the mat, it guides me to embody kindness, patience, and compassion in daily life, respecting the wisdom of teachings of our ancestors.

Yoga reminds me that peace, strength, and compassion are within, waiting to be awakened and cultivated, leading to a fulfilling and authentic life in harmony with the earth.
